About
Craig Horne Surveyors Ltd is owned and operated by Craig and
Carmen Horne. The company is based in the Dunedin/Mosgiel
area and operates throughout Otago and the lower South Island.
Craig Horne was born and raised on the Taieri near
Mosgiel. He attended Otago University and completed his
Bachelor of Surveying degree in 1993. Upon graduating Craig
completed his OE in the North Island, building his surveying skills
in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. Craig obtained his full
Registered Surveyor status with the NZ Institute of Surveyors in
1996.
Carmen comes from Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty and was a primary
school teacher before becoming a full time mother. Carmen is
involved in the administration of the Company.
Returning to Mosgiel in 2001 Craig and Carmen started Craig
Horne Surveyors Ltd. Since the beginning the company has been
heavily involved in the widespread development that has taken place
throughout Coastal Otago, particularly in both large and small
scale rural, rural-residential and residential subdivision.
Craig and Carmen have four children; Liam, Renée, Riley and
Charlotte, and live in Mosgiel. The three oldest children attend
East Taieri School.
Craig is involved in his community with a children's rally held
fortnightly and is a Dunedin Gideons committee member. Craig also
enjoys medium to long distance running, apparently for fun, and has
recently completed the Challenge Wanaka half marathon and Motutapu
full marathon.
